I started ZC 15 March 2015. I was on a strict Ketogenic Diet before, which did help with my osteoarthritis. A fat-fast made me pain-free. Adding veggies back made my pain come back. I did research about if I could survive without veggies, and found the group, Zeroing in on Health.
I came from strong painkillers and severe pain, to a life without medication and pain-free, most of the time. I have had asthma all my life. It is gone. My seasonal allergies are reduced, and I don’t need any medication on ZC. My tinnitus is gone. My gut troubles are gone. My dental health has improved. Hormonal improvement.
My skin is more healthy than ever. I have a bigger overarm now, than when I was training intensely, with no training.
Best of all, I was fighting a depression, which wouldn’t leave. I have had depression since childhood, very often. I haven’t had any, on zc, not even now, when my Company was bankrupt. I do have a mental clarity on ZC that I never had dreamed of. I am really more me, and I dare to live in the moment.
My libido is better than ever, and I feel younger than I have felt in many years. I am 50 years old.
I love meat, and I love what it does for my body. I was a carboholic, and now I have no cravings, at all. ZC made my life so much better.
Let me tell you a bit about myself, I live in just outside of Brisbane, Australia, I’m 45 years old, have 4 daughters ranging from 19 to 11 years, I work five days a week and am studying a health sciences degree full-time online. I decided to do a Bachelor of Food and Nutrition, after I became obsessed with using food for medicine and good health. I want to help others regain their health as I have gained mine back since starting a ketogenic diet over four years ago, I’m now carnivore.
For as long as I can remember I have suffered from IBS issues – gut pain and cramping, explosive diarrhoea, severe constipation – first seeing a GP for it when I was 14 years old. I never had a weight issue until having my first baby, but it certainly became a huge issue for the next 15 years. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was pregnant with my first daughter and during two pregnancies had gestational diabetes. Over these years I also suffered terrible GORD, repetitive disc bulges, sleep issues, asthma, thrush, recurring chest, sinus and urinary tract infections, major anxiety and depression issues. I had allergy tests done, where I was allergic to 13 of the 16 things I had been tested for and was told I was pre-type 2 diabetic by my overweight GP, who told me I should just expect it as it was in my family.
About 5 years ago, my health was heading south rapidly, with almost daily headaches and weekly migraines. I had a strange turn one day where I blacked out while driving, with my then four-year-old in the car with me. Apparently, I was slurring like I was drunk, but I managed to get my little girl to call the ambulance. I have no recollection of the event, except that I came to with two ambulance officers in my car trying to establish what had happened to me. My husband and police were on the scene when I came to as well, but despite being taken to hospital and tests being done, I never found out what had happened to me – except that they thought the migraine I had, had caused the event.
A few months later I got very unwell with a chest infection, landing myself in hospital for 12 days. My asthma was in a very bad way and I could hardly walk the corridors in the hospital without bringing on an attack. I gained about 5 kilograms during my hospital stay and was referred to a dietician to try to get my weight and health under control. I followed her recommendations religiously as I hated what was happening to me, but all I managed to do was gain more weight. She made me feel like I couldn’t possibly have been following the guidelines she’d set for me and that I was cheating myself.
I’d heard cutting sugar from your diet was good, so I stopped adding sugar on my morning oats and cutting it back substantially from my home baking, which gained me a small win with a couple of kilos weightloss. In November 2014, I then saw a documentary that literally changed my life, featuring Dr Maryanne Demasi, Dr Peter Bruckner, Professor Tim Noakes and Dr Steve Phinney. It was about the low carb, high fat diet and so, fuelled with the small win I’d had from ditching the sugar from my diet, I thought I’d give it a go.
My weight dropped incredibly quickly and majority of my health issues all but disappeared. I haven’t even had a head cold in the four years since starting. Everyone at work gets sick over winter, but I have not as yet. LCHF cured my GORD, disc bulges, asthma, allergies, thrush and I never experienced any more chest, sinus or urinary tract infections. I got stricter with my food choices and went VLC/strict keto, all the while my weight was still slowly creeping off.
At this point I should say I had been a lazy vegetarian for 31 years. I say lazy, as I had eaten fish very occasionally for a few years but never too regularly. I had however been doing a lot of research, reading lots of studies and following some very intelligent people on Twitter. All my research had me concluding that although I was way healthier in my food choices now eating keto, I had to eat a lot more protein than I was. I introduced fish regularly and, much to the shock of my family, I started eating chicken again – it had been 31 years. I started feeling so much better almost immediately, stronger. I then caught wind of Dr Baker’s carnivore study, which, both research and my own curious nature, had me very interested in. Crazy right, as I was only eating chicken, fish and eggs? But I did it, very strictly, ditching coffee, cream, cheese and only eating the chicken, fish, eggs and drinking water. I had it in my head though that I wanted to be brave and try red meat and so set a personal goal to achieve that before the end of the study – I knew for optimal health it was for the best, but I had a lot of mental hurdles stopping me. It came to the last week of the study, I felt amazing but disappointed in myself for not giving red meat a go like I wanted, so one day on my way home from work, I bought a rib eye, cooked it and ate the whole thing. I believe I have eaten at least one piece of red meat every day since.
To date my overall weight loss is about 40kg (or 88lb), with a measurement loss of about 120cm (or 47 inch) total. Hormonally, I have re-gained the 4kg loss I experienced during the study, which I intend on shedding again in the new year. Let’s just say, being a woman is unfair sometimes and the one thing that no diet has helped with is my lifetime suffering from endometriosis. I’m having further surgery in the new year, so hopefully I can get on top of the fake hormones currently circulating my body causing these adverse effects.
So, what happened when I went completely carnivore? Whilst LCHF/Keto helped the majority of my conditions, I was still suffering bouts of IBS issues, some arthritic aches and anxiety. Since going carnivore, I have been able to ascertain that it was vegetables still causing my residual IBS and occasional arthritic soreness. I am physically so much stronger than I have ever been and the recovery from exercise is outstanding. Where I once would have been sore for days and in some instances great pain, I have minimal soreness and generally only the following day, if at all. My mental clarity has been the overwhelming improvement which has me off my medication for the first time in about 10 years. Mentally, I would never have been able to take on such a gruelling schedule of fulltime study, working 5 days a week and four kids before, but carnivore has allowed me that. The first-wave carnivore study began in August 2017, for a three-month duration but I have remained carnivore ever since. I intend on staying this way for the foreseeable future as well for the outstanding health effects it has had on my body and mind.
I was unofficially diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis almost 20 years ago. I have the blood antigen HLA-B27 and all of the classic symptoms of pain, inflammation and stiffness in my hips and back. These symptoms were constant and exacerbated with any form of exertion and worsened with rest. I even began to develop the famous stoop in my posture regardless of how straight I would stand… While many my age were in “their prime”, I felt I was in decline. Always searching for health centered solutions, I was hopeful that the internet would produce testimonies of others that have found relief from their chronic inflammation. I was was often disappointed with the search results! I always found myself searching for Vegan or vegetarian solutions and never found relief… One day about 3 months ago my sister Laurie told me abut Dr Shawns information along with Mikhaila Peterson’s testimony of relief and I was so excited!
I made the choice and removed all plant sources from my diet (except organic coffee). Within 3 weeks I was sleeping through the night and waking pain free! I am so thankful that my sister thought of me and shared these ideas with me! I hope my story encourages some of you on your health journey to not quit trying to find your health solutions.
I have been autistic and dyslexia my whole life, but I was not diagnosed as being autistic until I was an adult. By the time I was about 44-45 I had arthritis in my neck, hands, lower back, and feet. I also had psoriasis which rapidly worsened when I started taking NSAIDs to manage the arthritic pain. Prior to this I worked out in the gym 5 days a week and yet I continued to gain body fat.
In early 2017 I went on a Ketogenic diet and my arthritis seemed to be gone in about 3 weeks or so and psoriasis that often bled through my clothes seemed to be greatly improved. I also noticed a vast improvement in cognitive function and a more stable mood.
By late 2017 I had moved to carnivore or a zero carb diet. The Psoriasis is not quite gone, but I think I will eventually figure out what the final trigger is and resolve this.
As for my autistic type symptoms, I seem to be far less likely to perseverate for long periods of time, my anxiety is a lot better, especially after I had been on carnivore for about 6 months or so I noticed that anxiety was much harder to trigger and it has less intensity to it. I have also noticed that the symptoms of dyslexia have improved, I am not able to often retain things like phone numbers in order with little or no effort. I can also tolerate sunlight much better. I also seem to have an easier time filtering out a noise and other distractions including tactile ones that constantly competed for my attention in the past.
After hearing your podcasts with Steve Austin and Rogan, then tons of research, I decided to try this.
I’m 45 years old, 5-8”. Travel for work and moderate gym exercise 3 days a week. 23 screws and three plates in my right ankle since 2000. C 3-4 fusion in ‘05, 5-6 fusion recommend in ‘11. Arthritis in ankle, neck and both shoulders from heavy lifting.
Since July 11th: down 30 lbs. I have leveled out loss at 195. Holding for 3 weeks. Blood work is top notch. Sleeping 5 hours. No shoulder issues, full range of motion recovered. No neck issues, numbness in fingers and hands gone. Running 1-1.5 miles daily with no ankle problems.
Today makes 60 days since I went on a Zero Carb diet!
You know those thin people who can always decline their favorite desserts, or not eat the free samples at the grocery store? I know people, but I most certainly was never one of them- until now!
Food no longer rules my life!
I seriously no longer think about my next meal all day long! I just eat (meat and eggs only) until I’m satisfied or full, then I don’t eat anything at all for many hours (often 8-12 hours) because I’m satisfied from my last meal.
I no longer care about recipes, having to list and buy ingredients for some food concoction I want to make, counting points or calories, entering my macros, nor do I longingly think of the next gathering or party I’m going to because of the food I’ll eat (Cake, anyone?)
I believe I have broken my food addiction!
My skin looks better than ever. My joints no longer ache with arthritis, the bloated belly, tummy aches, constant gas, constipation and pain are all gone!
My weight is steadily decreasing while my body is reshaping and putting on muscle and bone mass. My body is definitely restructuring and the fat parts are shrinking! Gone from an 18 to a 12 so far!
Before you ask, I did do labs as a plant based (vegan) dieter, and compared them to just one month of ZC and yes, there were marked favorable improvements in important things like Triglyceride/Hdl ratio and HgbA1C!
And I have discovered that “zero carb Zen” is a real thing! My normally anxious ADHD mind feels calm and settled and it is a new feeling for me.
I don’t think about food anymore. The thought comes along, “do I have meat at home to eat for the next few days?” And if the answer is, “yes.” I move on to thinking about other things and then just have a steak when I get home.
I know I used to think that plants were the source of ALL good health, but now I believe that plants are medicine, and just like one can be allergic to some medicines, one can be allergic/sensitive to plant foods and never do a full elimination diet to see how good it could feel to be plant free.
Hey, with all the science coming out today, it may be worth a shot to try something seemingly unconventional for once and just see what you think and how you truly FEEL physically.
People should realize that the arrowheads that are found throughout the world from tribal civilizations were used to hunt for food. They certainly weren’t used for shooting at root vegetables! Agriculture and farming as we know it is a relatively new idea. Humans haven’t always had access to plant foods, but we all know and accept that they were all big-game hunters!
I can’t even explain what it feels like to have the food monkey off my back!

My story has several parts to it, to gain a full understanding of the way changing to a carnivore diet has impacted my life. It’s a long one!
As a single adoptive parent of 6 special needs children and 2 biological children, I have been accustomed to thinking outside the box. All of my special needs children have been diagnosed with multiple challenges related to fetal alcohol and drug exposure. Their behavioral and physical needs are extensive.
I also have several medical diagnosis, including Multiple Sclerosis, psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis, PCOS, and a few gastrointestinal disorders.
Just over 2 years ago, after traveling extensively in Latin America, I, and 7 of my children, left the US to travel the rest of the world. Our intentions were to be of service to others everywhere went. We called it our Great Global Gratitude tour. As a family, we were certain that THIS would help my kids find a way to heal and feel useful in a world that otherwise didn’t hold a great future for them. Others had come before me who had tried the usual methods.
I homeschool my kids, and at the time we ate a “healthy diet”, limiting sugar and processed food, eating locally produced and as inexpensively as possible.
After we arrived in Europe, my health started failing rapidly. I had a large mass in my abdomen, which was deemed a “tumor”, certain it was cancer of the stomach. I was less certain and, as we left the country because our visas expired, I undertook a study of what would heal me naturally. I was taking several meds at the time for pain relief, including steroids to control the effects of MS and degenerative arthritis. I continued to gain weight, which added to my misery!
I embarked on a vegetarian diet and raw juicing to attack the mass in my abdomen. My kids, in an act of solidarity, wanted to become vegetarian with me.
The mass did shrink and for a few weeks, I got better! I was all in! My other health probs didn’t really improve, but I felt that was ok, as my condition was not expected to improve, just gradually worsen over time.
Just when we landed in a country where we thought we would stay on longer – there was so much we could do to serve others! – the nightmare began.
In January 2017, my health started quickly declining. There were days I could barely get out of bed because of pain and harsh digestive issues. My mobility decreased and pain escalated.
By May 2017, as we were building an NGO to help children with the same problems my own kids have, the unimaginable occurred. I was arrested in a foreign country with a history of governmental corruption. My children, under the care of my 21 year old son, had to flee the country for safety. I was held as what was described as a political prisoner, without official recognition, in a concentration camp-like prison for a month, before being released to house arrest. At least I could communicate and work on my release.
With my children away, our finances left almost non-existent, and health rapidly declining, on the advice of a doctor, I began preparing for the worst. I would likely not make it out of this situation alive. Taking my own life seemed an option, as I was worth more dead than alive. At least my kids would be taken care of and I could avoid the last few months of agony.
I didn’t pursue that option, finding hope and strength in my desire to find a miracle that would allow me to see my children grow up. I still made arrangements for my end, to make sure that the process went as smoothly as possible for my family and awaited the inevitable natural end of my life.
By November 2017, I loosened my grip on vegetarianism/veganism. My weight was up to 238 lbs and I was often using a cane to walk. I had little muscle tone and a very limited range of motion. I studied more about health and returned to my past paleo mindset. I slowly increased eating meats, as I readjusted to digesting solid foods and less fiber. My children were able to return to me safely in this country and things improved somewhat.
Then, I came across the carnivore approach. I didn’t think I had much more to lose, so I dove in!
Within a week the pain and inflammation subsided. My hands, which had become gnarled from arthritis, began to straighten. By week 2, I stopped all meds and near full mobility returned.
I was granted 2 hours a day outside my home for exercise and for personal needs, Without pain, inflammation and with new mobility, I started walking. By the end of week 3, I was able to walk several miles a day! I could sleep and eat and weight started melting off! I even had noticeable muscle tone developing.
In week 4, I was doing so well, my kids wanted in on it. My eldest son started and developed greater muscle mass and a lot of fat loss immediately.
Through my studies, I found there may benefits for kids with needs such as mine have. My youngest special needs child, with multiple behavioral challenges, low IQ, and gorging issues (all from FASD and fetal drug exposure) started behaving more appropriately and speaking more clearly, fewer tantrums, could study and retain what he read. My teen daughter’s cystic acne cleared, her anxiety lessoned, she became more social and SWEET! What kind of miracle was this?
As of today, I have lost over 50 lbs. I can walk, bend, squat, do almost anything. I have no signs of ANY OF THE DIAGNOSED ILLNESSES. I can now hike miles and miles everyday, walk 4 flights of stairs several times a day, no choking and have no pain. No meds, no seizures, no “hugs” except from my kids, no more gnarled hands and feet. I am free to continue to travel the world with my kids and don’t worry about dying and missing out on their lives on a daily basis! My kids are like new people. We gained a new hope for the future!
The results were swift, dramatic and powerful for all of us. After 11 weeks starting carnivore, and seeing such amazing results, I began taking a positive approach to everything. Every aspect of my life has improved to a level I have never experienced. I began encouraging others and meeting their needs, when only weeks ago, I could not meet my own!
I was recently released from prison. After a full year, I am free. It’s significant on so many levels, to be free from the physical prison of my body, the prison of my mind and the literal prison of this country. With greater mental clarity and no depression, I can forward now. Even the financial challenges we face no longer seem insurmountable. We can leave this country when I have the financial resources to do so, and I go forward in strength and power, with a new purpose.
In August of 2017, about 5 weeks before my 52nd birthday, I wrote an email to Dr. Shawn Baker to ask for help.
A few months before, I was in the emergency room for what I thought was sciatica. The pain shooting down my leg was so debilitating that it was impossible to stand without being doubled over.
But the ER physician’s x-rays noted no deviations in my spinal column, such as bulging or herniated discs. This would likely rule out sciatica.
Although she did see that I had arthritis. When I registered surprise, she told me that she would have been more surprised if I didn’t have it. Apparently, arthritis is the rule, not the exception, for men in their fifties.
When I followed up with my primary care physician, he reaffirmed that I had arthritis and the leg pain was caused by it. He was not pleased when I told him I lift weights every day. And when I told him that my weight-training included squats, he actually looked horrified.
He informed me that I would have to give up weight training and take up swimming. And basically consigned me to a diet of boneless, skinless chicken breast and vegetables for the rest of my life.
When I suggested taking up the Atkins diet, he insisted that the Atkins diet didn’t work, and as a testament to that “fact,” he claimed that Atkins had died of a heart attack.
When I attempted to correct him (since Dr. Robert Atkins died of a traumatic brain injury after falling on some ice), he maintained that Atkins died of a heart attack and that he had known Dr. Atkins personally.
Maybe he did know Atkins, but that doesn’t change the fact that he was wrong about how Atkins died.
Reluctantly, I resigned myself to do as he said. But unsurprisingly, after a few days of forcing myself to go to the gym, bypass the weight room on my way to the locker room to reach the pool and slog around in the water for an hour or so, I stopped going to the gym altogether.
And my PC also put me on an anti-depressant regimen. (Imagine that! I was depressed, too!) I also got a prescription for the NSAID Meloxicam for the pain, although he informed me that the benefit of Meloxicam for arthritic pain wouldn’t be great.
I love lifting weights. There’s such a sense of gratification as you exert yourself to the limit, as the weights crawl upward, squeaking out that last rep. And it was a gratification that splashing around back and forth in a swimming pool just couldn’t match.
With the diet, the drugs, the pain and not being allowed to lift weights, I found the joy had been sucked out of my life. The things that I enjoyed most and looked forward to every day had been taken from me.
I don’t know how I happened upon Dr. Shawn Baker’s Twitter feed, but I’m glad I did. Here was a man about my age, who sure as hell didn’t look like arthritis was keeping him down, and obviously did more than swimming to keep in shape.
After inundating him with questions via Twitter, I decided to give Dr. Baker’s approach a try. (At this point, what did I have to lose?) So, I wrote Dr. Baker my story, about what my doctor said, including the diet, the drugs and the exercise, and he was kind enough to write me back.
An excerpt from his response to me: “Just in general terms (and not to be taken as medical advice) a stronger joint is a healthier joint and is relatively more resistant to arthritis. In my view, diet plays a huge role in joint pathology, with meat being the least likely substance to contribute to it.”
After a few false starts (as a nearly incorrigible carb-addict), I embraced carnivory.
Fast-forward to today: Since January, I no longer take Meloxicam (because I don’t need it) or anti-depressants, and I am back in the weight room, doing full squats, without pain.
I cannot adequately express my gratitude for Dr. Baker’s guidance.
My Four Month N=1 (Self-)Experiment on going Zero Carb 100% Carnivore.
This is a lengthy article. So for just the Highlights:
Meat-only way of eating healed my Rheumatoid Arthritis in weeks.
No veggies, fruits, fiber, grains, nuts & etc.
Just meat & water only. I have done a very limited amount of cheese. Tried eggs at about 6 weeks into my experiment, and it did not affect the RA, but they did not work well for me.
My eating consist of about 90% beef, non-organ meats and the rest pork. High fat ribeyes & high fat ground beef are my mainstay. I only season with salt, pepper & rosemary.
I feel GREAT!!!! Improvement in all areas of life too!!!! Nothing negative at all. PTL 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Yes I am sticking with it!!!! Not because I need to but because I love this way of eating.
Here is a little background on why I chose to go Zero Carb 100% Carnivore(ZC). The reason I shifted from a Ketogenic way of eating is I wanted to see they effects on my Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). I’ve kept it managed well for over 10 years but I had flare ups from over use & cold weather. Keto greatly helped my RA when I changed back to it in a strict fashion a few years ago. I was already about 85% to 95% Zero Carb Carnivore (ZC) while Ketogenic. Curcumin & Hemp/CBD Oil had helped my RA but it did not cure it or put it in remission and it was steadily progressing. After much research & talking to people with RA that had successfully done ZC with great success I decided to give it a N=1 (self-)experiment.
My thumb on my right hand was affected the most. I had lost most use of it, and the pain was horrible at times. I needed to address this soon because it is a progressive, crippling & very painful condition that will worsen with age. I had never taken any prescription or OTC medicines for RA & I did not plan to. My prognosis was not good long term under standard medical care & plus the many horrible side effects from the medicine used to treat RA. My joints all through my body was rapidly becoming less & less functioning and causing more and more discomfort. I had inflammation all throughout my body. I was feeling it everywhere. I tried to hide it & stay as positive as I could but I was feeling like a very old person. I was upset with myself because I am a person very knowledgeable on living healthy & treating issues with natural therapies, but I could not help myself very much with this condition. I knew so many were much worse than I were but I saw where my future was heading & it was bleak. I want to be able to enjoy life to the fullest with my wife & four kids.
I had done so much research on everything for RA. I tried many different things but nothing made a significant difference. I kept reading about a meat only way of eating for autoimmune issues such as Rheumatoid Arthritis & many other conditions.
I had done a Carnivore way of eating years before, twice and loved it. However, I did not do it for RA then, it was before I knew I had RA & before I had any noticeable symptoms. I did it for building muscularity & strength. Since the 1990’s I have been a HIT (High Intensity Trainer). Arthur Jones was the founder of this method. I learned of strength training in the early 1980’s from old magazines of Peary Rader, especially Articles written by or about Arthur Jones, Vic Tanney, Steve Reeves, Larry Scott, Mike Mentzer & Vince Gironda. Vince’s Steak & Eggs Diet really caught my attention. It made sense & I personally was wired to eat that way. I was born a Carnivore I think. So I greatly gravitated to his way of eating and I loved it. It worked for me and I felt great, performed great & looked pretty good. I did this until my Lifting Coaches convinced me I would die from eating that way. By the way Mr. Gironda looked great & lived very healthily in to his 80’s.
I also was exposed to ZC from of all things The Grateful Dead, actually their sound man, Owsley “Bear” Stanley, from the Grateful Dead so that was in the mid-1980’s. I was a Grateful Dead Fan. He was a huge advocate of ZC Carnivore Eating & had been doing it since the 1950’s. A true pioneer in the ZC Carnivore movement.
After college I gravitated back to my Zero Carb Carnivore roots. I loved it because I was single at the time & working long hours and it was simple to eat just meat. I can cook hamburger patties. I can order a McDouble & eat only the patties. I had less Decision Fatigue. This worked great until I met & married my future wife, Lori. She also “knew” I would die without veggies, fruits, whole grains, fiber & etc. So by 1997 I was back to large amounts of vegetables, fruits, whole grains & not near the amount of meat. Within a few years from then I started feeling the affects from my Rheumatoid Arthritis. It was getting worse and worse. I tried many natural herbs & therapies and some did help but only limitedly.
Around 2013 my right thumb had become almost totally non-functioning. The pain was horrible and getting worse every day. I was now having trouble doing one of my favorite hobbies, Combat Pistol Shooting. I was having an incredibly hard time loading bullets into my magazines & to press the magazine release button on the gun to be able to quickly drop a mag & replace it.
I was also having a very difficult time buttoning my shirts, holding anything, twisting caps off, practicing Martial Arts, playing guitar and etc.
As a Personal Trainer it was harder & harder to load plates, change weights & to assist my clients. It was even harder not to show the pain to my clients. My own training was incredibly difficult because of the high levels of inflammation I had & the excessive pain I had to go through to achieve Full Momentary Muscular Failure that I needed to get the proper intensity level for an effective session. My recovery post workout was horrible. I had to keep extending my time between workouts to be able to recover and to be able to function post workout. Most that do a HIT protocol workout one to two times per week. Some with less recovery ability or circumstances workout once every 10 days to 14 days. I went from a couple of sessions per week to once a week to eventually every third week. That extreme infrequency worked by far the best for my optimal strength levels, body composition & how I could function at my other activities. I also had to start using gripping aids such as straps & hooks to do my lifting especially with the Deadlift, Shrugs Rows & Pull Downs. My fingers would not allow me to grip effectively. As a person schooled in Old School Powerlifting I was ashamed I had to use these grip aids. Because of my experiences I had Confirmation Bias that everyone needed gripping aids when they did not. I am correcting this now with my clients that I inadvertently hampered them in full development of their grip & forearm development.
So my results have been beyond stellar and way beyond all my expectations!!!!! My Rheumatoid Arthritis is what I would classify in full 100% remission. My pain is totally gone. My movement is back to normal. My inflammation is gone throughout my body & in particular my hands & elbows. My long term Tendonitis (Tennis Elbow)is gone. My Hip pain is gone. My knee pain is gone. My energy levels are incredible. I am sleeping better than ever, except when I have too much energy. My cognition is vastly improved. My recovery rate is better than it has been since I was in my late 20’s and I am 49 years old. My strength numbers have increased. My body composition has gotten better. My digestion is perfect. My bowel movements are the best ever. My dry eyes are not a problem. My allergies have been so much better than in years past. I have not had any sickness since 2013 so I have a great immune system & since going ZC still no problems. I avoided the dreaded cold & Flu this season that was going around this winter. No outbreak of Kidney Stones which have been plagued with especially when eating plants containing Oxalates such as Collard Greens & Spinach. I’m now almost supplement-free. I will continue to supplement with Vitamin D & some minerals if I need them. My Super Supplement is called Ribeye 🥩 & Water!!!! Nothing got worse from this way of eating. It has all been positive!!!! I look forward to continuing this way of eating indefinitely. I truly enjoy this way of eating. PTL 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I have always worked out and am a big guy (6’7″). I started the ketogenic diet in June of 2015. Even though I was in good shape, I was still 270 lbs. I went down to 250 lbs with ketosis but for the last few years I have had an arthritic knee and finger that were painful every day.
I was on the schedule to have my knee replaced in November of 2017, even though I’m only 55, because I just couldn’t stand it any more. The pain was constant. I heard about the carnivore diet and Dr. Baker and began in December of 2017. I experienced relief quickly. My joint pain has all but vanished. It’s a minor miracle. I couldn’t bend my knee or my right forefinger with full motion but now I can. I have now gone down to 230 lbs and am so lean that I can’t believe it. I eat so much!
I would never have guessed that there would be such a disparity of results between ketosis and carnivore. My wife is also carnivore and has dropped weight and all of her joints feel great. I can’t believe that this worked so well. I will NEVER go back EVER! Thank you Dr. Baker for getting this message out.
