I am a 44 year male who currently weighs 198 lbs. On 12/31/2018 I weighed 233.8 lbs. On January 1, 2018 I went full carnivore. Here’s a list of what changed for me:

  • 1st and foremost of the most important thing that happened to me is that 3 days into eating carnivore I had 15 years of chronic low back and hip pain disappear.
  • lost 40 lbs over 6 months
  • lost 5 more lbs during first month of working out (month 7 got down to 188 lbs)
  • 2-3 months in, stopped snoring
  • sometime early on in the diet my diagnosed sleep apnea condition went away. I know this because for the first time in the last 30 years I woke up with energy. Never knew what that was like (even when I was a teenager)
  • always had a couple ingrown hairs on each of my legs. I’ve had 1 ingrown hair in the last 6 months
  • skin complexion got better
  • wrinkle lines on my forehead are almost gone. They had gotten to be a part of the new me and for some reason now, 11 months later, they are almost completely gone.
  • 11 months later and the balding spot on the back of my head is almost gone. Literally have thicker hair now
  • a phenomenal increase in mental clarity
  • energy from the morning until night. No more ups and downs of the carbohydrate eating lifestyle.
  • likely saved my marriage (all praise to God for bringing me to carnivore). My emotional balance and ability to control myself VASTLY improved. Hard to put into words how much more emotionally stable I am on a carnivore diet.
  • started weight training and without supplements put on a solid 7 lbs of muscle on over about a 5 month period.

I’m a 57 year old male who is physically active. Until three months ago, I would eat anything I wanted A quart of ice cream or a dozen cookies in a sitting? Full steam ahead. Problem was, I had reached 280lbs and began to have knee pain and sciatic trouble, in addition to the sleep apnea, heartburn, diarrhea, and general lethargy I had grown accustomed to.

I decided to ignore the nay-sayers and accept myself for what I am, a carnivore. I am the product of a million years of evolution – the bulk of which time my species ate virtually only meat. It’s only intuitive that we should be awash in type 2 diabetes, heart disease and obesity when we glut our diet with things we were never designed to metabolize.

I’ve dropped to 254lbs, apnea is much better, heartburn and etc. are gone, and my energy level seems elevated.

I’m free and out of the closet, and all I can say to the flower children who advocate vegetarianism is, don’t let your cat out at night, because if the time ever comes when I cannot lay my hands on a beautifully marbled rib steak, all bets are off.
