I’m 52 years old and until 3 weeks ago was suffering with staggering joint pain and stiffness. Along with the joint pain, I would also have incredibly sore muscles after workouts. I decided to try the carnivore diet after seeing Jordan Peterson talk about it and also after reading the testimonials on this website. Bottom line… I’m on day 20 and feel great! Whatever I had in my system that was causing the inflammation is almost 100% gone. As a result, I’m just starting to rediscover my former athletic self. I played college basketball and some professional basketball. At 6’6” and 210 lbs when I started this diet, I didn’t really want to lose any weight. I’m down to 199 but holding steady. I think I’m through the trough for the most part. Still have the occasional craving for a bowl of cereal or a banana. Here is a short list of other things I’ve noticed since starting this diet:

  • zero headaches after the first 4 or 5 days.
  • GREAT SLEEP!
  • no more pain in my hips, knees or feet. No more pain in my calves even after strenuous workouts.
  • I swear my hearing is better.

I plan on reintroducing certain low carb/low sugar foods after the 30 day mark with a watchful eye on the return of any inflammation. Hoping if I can limit the carbs and sugar going forward that I can remain pain free without having to do stay all meat all the time. If the pain returns, at least I know how to get rid of it.
